Hi Paula, Well, little Splash had a trial by fire today. We took him to a friend's indoor. Left in sunshine and arrived to a huge thunderstorm with 45 mph wind gusts. He stood with my trainer while I got on my mare, and then another horse reared up, broke his leadrope and bolted. In the chaos that followed, Splash looked around, stepped sideways, and began picking hay out of the escaped horse's haybag. He cared not a bit about galloping horses, lightening, thunder, wind, or rushing people. Really he was just awesome! So we were absolutely thrilled, and he seemed pleased to filch an extra snack. Truly he has an outstanding temperament, as well as being very cute. If you're ever out towards Colorado bring Morgan and come see him. He will have a good life with us, I promise. Feel free to use me as a reference, by the way. This pony is exactly as you described him, and we couldn't be happier. - Elizabeth elkaufman@pollere.net Paula, Flash rode like a trooper the whole way home. He settled right in his stall and met the other boys. I gave him a double box stall where he can look outside and socialize w/ the others. Tonight when I get home from work I’m going to turn him out with the gang. I’m so impressed w/ the little guy. Oh his new name is now Wrigley. I guess my husband wanted to stick w/ the baseball theme. Homer is registered as “Who’s on First, Abbott is “Put Me In Coach so I guess it is appropriate that I have a horse named after a baseball field. I will send you pics over the next couple of days and let you know how he is. Please feel free to use me as a reference. I am so impressed w/ the animals I saw. Thanks again! ~Laura lheller@canton.k12.pa.us Hi Paula, Just wanted to let you know that Snickers arrived safely and is doing well. He is everything you said he is. I am very pleased so far and like him alot. Thanks, Lynne Hey Paula, Patches is TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! We love him. He has been ridden several times and each rider has adored him. You were completely correct on him. Please look for another just like him – as I could use one more! You are the best! Thanks so much!! Sue soconnell@project-control.com Hi Paula. I really thought Winter was behind us and here we are in the middle of another snow fall. Odie is doing great and the girls absolutely LOVE him. They are all smiles and so am I. We have ridden everyday - even in the 30 mph gusts of wind. He has been awesome! THANK YOU, thank you, thank you!!!! Regards, Suyen suyenm@verizon.net Hi Paula, Just wanted to let you know that Spicy (now Cole) is doing great. We purchased a new harness & wooden cart for him and drove him for the first time about a week ago. He gets along super with the other mini we have here. They like to play together and will stand and groom each other, too. I check your site virtually every day to see what you have available. I expect we will be purchasing another mini from you at some point. I also may be in the market for another riding/driving horse sometime in the not too distant future. You seem like an honest dealer and I will probably approach you first before I look elsewhere. Hope you didn't get hit too hard in this last storm. Best wishes, Gretchen gretchen@lyriccollies.com Paula, Just wanted to check in with you to let you know that Socks is doing well. He is out with my friends mini Hal and they get along great. We went driving yesterday and had a great time. We took her mini Hal out too and he hadn't been driven in 2 years!!! It was quite different than driving Socks, but we had great fun. I am going to keep you e-mail in case I know of anyone else or if we decide to get another one. I hope that's ok with you. Thanks, Kathy Paula, Just dropping you a thank you note. Cleo is settling in great and is a real sweetheart. Thank you again for bringing her to MA. I'm sure we'll see you again sometime in the future. Just wondering if you could email me those videos you have up of Cleo. Love to have them on my computer. The ones of her riding. When you have time of course I know you are busy. Thank you again, Ariana & Randy Hi Paula, I was just looking at you website and thought I would let you know that Chrissy is doing GREAT! I love her very much and my trainer is just wild about her. She is starting to jump small fences now and has great form and really seems to love it. Most people don't believe me when I tell them she is only 3yr because she is so quiet. Hope all is well at your farm. Gabby Paula, Yes! He arrived - I had him delivered to my friends facility and Athena and Zeus met on neutral territory. They were eating from the same hay pile within an hour. Yipee!! They are getting along great no problems - I "messed:" with him for the first time on Wednesday - my saddle and girth fit him....yipeee! The ferrier was here today and he did great - no challenges! I am going to wait a few more days before I ride him so he gets settled in....he is awesome and I just love him! He is exactly what I was looking for! Yipeee!!! Thanks again...I will send pictures soon! Marguerite (This was Zeus, who was sent to Colorado!) Hi Paula, The ponies arrived around 1:30 am this morning. They are in great shape, as you know! My kids got to see them this morning before school. They are extremely excited! Thank you so much for working with me to get these ponies to Texas. They will have a great home here. I will be sending you pictures in the future, and will continue to pray for your community. Thanks Again Paula! Todd ***************************************************************** Hi Paula, I just want to thank you again for Katie Kaper!! She's settling in nicely at our place with the thoroughbred, Nike. I think she's more attached to him than he is to her! We took her for a ride on Monday and Tuesday and she did great. This is my dream come true of 20+ years and I appreciate her so much. She's exactly what I was looking for. My husband, Phil, took a ride on her too and his first words were, "This is a good riding horse." And that was after he rode Nike! Her personality is perfect too. She is lots of fun and interested in what we're up to just like you said. What a sweetie! We love her and thank you again for her and if you ever need my help with anything, please let me know. I will always mention you when I hear of someone looking for a good horse. Tell Levi hello and thank you to him also! Maryann Mahan HI PAULA , THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME KNOW ABOUT PATRICK . I WILL GET ALL HIS RECORDS TOGEATHER . I WILL TRY TO E- MAIL THEM TO YOU . TRADING PATRICK WAS A LOT HARDDER THEN I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE .I AM SO GREATFUL YOU FOUND HIM A HAPPY HOME. THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAKOTA IS BEING REALLY GOOD .I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW QUITE HE IS. HE IS JUST WHAT I NEED . THANKS AGAIN AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS . DONNA I just wanted to thank you for all of your information, candor and kindness. I was so impressed with you and your website. Patrick is such a gentle giant, and he has won over the hearts of my daughter and everyone in the barn. I wanted you to be able to tell your buyer that he is very happy at his new home. Other than having a heck of a time finding a saddle large enough for him, all is fabulous. If there is any chance we could request the vet records from his previous family, I would be grateful. It would be nice to know his history for the future. Thanks for all of your help! Carol Dear Paula, I hope things are well for you and Morgan. I just wanted to touch base with you to let you know Odie has been awesome! Riding side by side with my daughter and pony ranks up there with the top ten moments in life. He and my 15.3 TB gelding Nash are really attached. They play hard in the field together. I used to wonder how Nash was getting dirty hoof marks on his butt, back and neck until I witnessed the deed. Odie likes to rear up make his way over to Nash's withers - then Nash bows his head and Odie slides down Nash's neck. It scared the heck out of me when I first saw this but it seems to be routine. The other day Odie charged Nash in fun while he was rolling...never a dull moment. They make a funny pair. Kasey took Odie to a few shows this past Spring. They earned a blue ribbon at their very first show together which lead them to more. Odie didn't mind all the fuss of clipping, washing and braiding. He was very patient while I learned how to braid a tail and do hunter braids (button braids are much easier). In the end, I was so excited to bring Odie and Kasey to Upperville! He turned quite a few heads with his beautiful clipped roan coat. Kasey was beaming with excitement and she was so proud of her little pony accepting compliments left and right. As I hoped, we finally hooked Odie up to a cart and I was able to experience driving for the first time! So far it has only been a handful of times but he is a blast and really seems to enjoy pulling us down the back roads. Odie has put on his winter coat again so he's back to black but we look forward to his ever changing color - what a fun little pony! Happy Thanksgiving! Suyen Hi!! You wouldn't remember me, but I bought a dapple grey welsh pony from you last summer. ( I've always kept my eye on your web sight because some time in the future I'm going to be getting another horse for trail riding!) Anyway, Muffin has turned out to be a doll. She was a little nippy in the beginning around small children, but I worked with her and was vigilant around the youngsters and she moved past that. My daughter, Ava, has become quite the trainer in developing a relationship with her. I'm proud of them both for what they've accomplished together. My thanks to you and John for allowing us to spend time with her before we bought her. She's been just what we needed. Thanks again! Sincerely, Dawn Hi Paula, Just wanted to drop you a quick note and let you know how happy I am with Teeny Tiny. He is absolutely wonderful and everything you said he was. He is an in your pocket little horse and follows me everywhere already. He is also very patient and tolerant while I'm learning to drive. My biggest problem was getting the harness small enough to fit him. My boyfriend actually had to take the bridle apart, make it smaller and restitch the leather for me. Thank you so much for everything. Cindy Good morning Paula- Breezy is fantastic- Ruthie has taken her trail riding for about 6 hours this week. We bought her a new saddle yesterday and they are having a great time! Breezy is better than expected. Ruthie has had her cantering and galloping- we are very pleased with her! Hope you are doing well. Diana Hi Paula, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how much I enjoy Austin, a 5 yr. old Halflinger gelding I purchased from you a few months back. He's a real pleasure, and is everything you said he was, right down to the only thing you said that bothers him is clippers - and we're currently working on that! He's intelligent, a fast learner, patient, forgiving and very good-natured, not to mention very healthy. Just the right horse for me! Plus it doesn't hurt that he's absolutely gorgeous, with his long flowing blonde "Fabio-like" mane & tail! I periodically check your website and am continually impressed with your selection of horses - they're always in great looking shape and you obviously know what you're looking for - and what your clients look for as well. I'm more than happy with my purchase, and when it comes time to look for a second horse, you'll be the one I contact! Kirsten Just thought I would send you an FYI that Duke arrived at his new home safe and sound and completely un-stressed Friday evening. He hauled like a dream, most of the time we couldn’t even tell he was back there. We’ve rode him around the pasture twice since he’s been home, and I’ve taken him down the trail behind our house once, and he’s been fantastic. He gets along wonderfully with my gelding, the two even stand in the same stall together (we have run-in stalls) during the heat of the day to keep the flies off. He seems to be settling in quite well. Thank you so much and I’ll send you an update in a few weeks after we take him on our first substantial trail ride! Amber Hey Paula! He settled in great! Everyone loves him! We have decided to change his name to Levi. In honor of his amish buddy. He is a super little horse and we expect great things from him. Thanks Paula! -Take care----tori and levi Hey, I just wanted to give you an update on Nash, he settled in great from day one and even made a few new turnout buddies. He's mainly been doing trotting work and schooling on the right side, next week he'll be steadily starting ground poles and working on basic lead changes. I'm proud to say he's been putting on weight and muscle. He's also currently learning the spanish walk and bow. I'll send you pictures as soon as i can upload them from my camera. He is a favorite at the barn with both looks, and personality. Thank again for a great horse. Yelena
